Ten Steps For Overcoming Re-Entry Anxiety After Covid

“Society Re-Entry Anxiety” as I’m calling it as it pertains to feelings of terror that come with rejoining society after any major period of being locked away from society, in this case Covid is a real thing.

This is a thing. I can tell you as someone who has been on bedrest multiple times in their life stuck in the house there is definitely anxiety about re-entering the world when it’s over. Acknowledging that is part of overcoming it. Here’s how I overcome it.

Start Simple

1- Do something you’ve never done before inside your house. You’re getting ready for a change outside. Create something, read a new genre, listen to new music, eat something you have never tried before, make a new friend. All this prepares you for your new future.

Let Life In

2- Start to welcome in the outdoors. Raise the blinds and let the sunshine in, open your windows, throw open your doors and get a crosswind in, relax and feel the breeze and breathe it in. Feel at peace in your nest so that your can get courage to take the next step.

Venture Outside

3- Head out to your backyard or balcony if you have one. Smell the flowers and clean…
